Course Conduct

The Department of Physics with Electronics at El-Amin University offers an interdisciplinary program that combines the foundational principles of physics with the practical applications of electronics. The curriculum is designed to address Nigeria’s growing demand for skilled professionals in telecommunications, renewable energy, and electronic engineering. Students gain a solid understanding of core physics concepts, including electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, and thermodynamics, while also developing hands-on skills in circuit design, microelectronics, and instrumentation.

Practical learning is emphasized through laboratory sessions, fieldwork, and industry partnerships, allowing students to apply their knowledge to real-world problems such as power generation, communication systems, and environmental monitoring. Description of Courses

The Physics with Electronics programme is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of fundamental physics principles alongside practical expertise in electronics. The initial year focuses on core concepts in classical and modern physics, building a strong scientific foundation. In subsequent years, the programme emphasizes the integration of physics with electronic systems, preparing students to apply their knowledge to the design, analysis, and innovation of electronic devices and systems by their final year.

The Physics with Electronics programme aims to equip students with the skills necessary to understand and manipulate physical phenomena and electronic components, enabling them to contribute to fields such as telecommunications, robotics, instrumentation, and renewable energy technologies. The programme also fosters analytical and technical abilities, positioning graduates for roles in research, development, and industrial applications, or for self-employment in technological fields.

Objectives of the Physics with Electronics degree programme include providing students with a comprehensive understanding of physical laws and their application to electronic systems, developing strong problem-solving abilities in both theoretical and practical contexts, cultivating hands-on skills in electronic circuit design, instrumentation, and digital systems, and nurturing transferable skills valuable in a wide range of industries. The programme also prepares students for further studies in physics, electronics, or interdisciplinary fields and instills an appreciation for the role of electronics in advancing scientific discovery and technological innovation. B.A Arabic
Five credits at SSCE (or its equivalent) in Arabic, Islamic studies, Hausa, and two other Arts/Social Science subjects.
Two ‘A’ level credit passes in relevant subjects one of which should be Arabic in NCE or ND with at least a merit level.
UTME subjects are: Arabic, Islamic Studies, Hausa, and English subjects.
B.A. Islamic Studies
Five credit passes at SSCE (or its equivalent) in Arabic, Islamic studies, Hausa, and two other Arts/Social Science subjects.
(a)Two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects. One of the advanced level subjects should be Islamic Studies. NCE or ND at merit level.
