MICROBIOLOGY

The programme aims to provide a deep understanding of microbiology concepts in various sectors such as industry, health, food, agriculture, pharmacy, and environment. It also highlights the importance of the relationship between microbiology and biotechnology. While the philosophy of the programme is centered around training graduates to apply microbiological techniques to address the societal developmental needs effectively.

The Biotechnology programme offers comprehensive training in utilizing biological systems for product development and skill acquisition for graduates pursuing careers as scientists in industries and academia. The objectives of the program include providing students with a foundational understanding of biotechnology, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in various multidisciplinary biotechnological settings, and preparing students for research in industrial and academic fields.

The Biochemistry programme is structured to offer students a comprehensive understanding of chemical processes in living organisms from single to multi-cellular entities, encompassing plants and animals. The programme aims to educate students on the chemical processes occurring in living organisms, elucidating the causes of deviations that can lead to pathological conditions. Moreover, it empowers students with the knowledge to manipulate normal processes for desired outcomes, enabling employment opportunities in health, food, and related industries or self-employment.

The programme is justified by the increasing societal reliance on digital infrastructure, making cybersecurity a crucial challenge for the future, and the need for professionals with diverse cybersecurity competencies in the rapidly digitalizing world.

There is a high demand for Information and Communication Technology specialists globally, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and continuous functioning of businesses and non-business organizations. The degree programme in EU focuses on producing Information and Communication Technology graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage computing infrastructure, support computer users, and increase business value through productivity. The programme’s philosophy is to equip students with the skills and knowledge for seamless integration of ICT in organizations and support computer system users with best practices and professional standards.
